After much consideration and deliberation, a very concerned Ka allowed me to go for my motorcycle licence. I acquired my leaners some time ago so that meant I was able to do a course over two days called Qride. I went through a training centre called RideSmart which was also quite affordable.
The two day course didn't contain much theory which was great, this meant we spent most of the time on the bikes, practicing for our assessment. Most of the riding was done in a secure area where we were able to show the trainers our competence before riding on the road.
The assessment was an hour ride through the mountains. It was such a perfect day for this. We rode these tiny 125cc hondas, which meant it was an effort to ride through the mountains, changing through the gears frequently. This made it a huge amount of fun and such an awesome way to end the day.
After two days of fun you end up with an Open Restricted Motorcycle licence, able to ride most bikes up to 660cc, now just to convince Ka to let me get a Monster 500!
