Dear Ja, It's Sunday here today and It's been a beautiful hot sunny day, the clouds are only starting to roll in now. After what seems like weeks of raining it's nice to finally have some sunshine to warm things up.
I decided to venture to GOMA to see the last day of APT7. We tried a few times to get there together whilst it was on, but life and other things got in the way. When you get back lets make sure to keep life from getting in the way. I took the 5D along with me and a 50mm lens and snapped a few quick shots along the streets down the back near GOMA. Brisbane has some stunning architecture and some great locations, it's just this city has been built in such a terrible manner that it's often difficult to see these locations and they are so quickly covered up and destroyed by new developments for this urban jungle that we call home.
I parked quite far from GOMA and walked down, absorbing the warm sun into my skin. When I got to GOMA I had the sudden realisation that it is the final day of school holidays and so the gallery had LOTS of children in it meaning it wasn't the relaxing outing I had hoped for. I was unsure if I could use the camera as everyone was snapping on iPhones and literally noone had cameras. I snapped a few shots on my phone as well, maybe thats just the nature of our culture now. I only saw one thing that I risked using the camera for, you'll see it above :)
After I decided I was done in the gallery I had a browse through the GOMA shop and lusted over all the lovely coffee table books before walking back and taking some more snaps on the way to the car. It was super hot when I jumped in so I grabbed a slurpee on the way home and fuelled up the car.
I'm going to do some rearranging this afternoon and some more tidying. I have a few plans for the house that I want to put together before you arrive back!
I love you. Always and Forever.
